Tater Tot Sloppy Joes

Super easy, super good meal that will appeal to the kids as well

  • Medium

1 lb ground chuck or any other ground meat of your choice

1 tbs. diced garlic, optional

1/2 cup diced onion, optional

2 cans manwich sloppy joe mix, or homemade if you prefer

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1 bag tater tots

Pre heat oven to 400

Spray a 13×9 oblong pan with pam

Brown the ground meat with the garlic, onions, salt and pepper.  Drain into a colander over a bowl lined with paper towels,  easier for clean up.  Return meat to the heat and add sloppy joe mix and warm, pour into prepared pan top with the grated cheese then cover in a single layer with the tater tots.  Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.  Also have on hand jalapenos, along with sour cream and sriracha, I like spicy!

I have always enjoyed cooking, since I started making mashed potatoes for our family dinners at the age of 10. My cooking style is throwing together what is simple, fresh and tasty, also preparing tried and true family recipes. I am on a quest for that perfect crusty bread that is simple to make for the home cook. I am an avid collector of all things vintage, I make up "vignettes" daily for fun and love to share my decorating ideas with everyone. When I'm not working, cooking and decorating I love to be with family, friends, my horses and my two french bulldogs, so stop by here often, there will always be something new to look at. Tammy
