Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookies

This is the Original Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie with my little twists that puts them over the top, these are served at every social gathering, parties, tailgates, etc.

  • Medium

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup butter, softened at room temp

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 DARK brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1 120z package chocolate chips

1 120z package toffee chips

preheat oven 375

combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in bowl.  In a stand mixer, or large bowl with a hand mixer, beat butter, add sugars and vanilla, beat until creamy, add eggs one at a time until each has been incorporated.  Gradually add flour mixture about a 1/3 at a time, stir in chocolate and toffee chips.

drop by rounded spoons onto cookie sheets and bake.  I have an old oven so I bake for 6 minutes, then change shelves and turn cookie sheets around and  bake 6 more minutes until golden brown

I have always enjoyed cooking, since I started making mashed potatoes for our family dinners at the age of 10. My cooking style is throwing together what is simple, fresh and tasty, also preparing tried and true family recipes. I am on a quest for that perfect crusty bread that is simple to make for the home cook. I am an avid collector of all things vintage, I make up "vignettes" daily for fun and love to share my decorating ideas with everyone. When I'm not working, cooking and decorating I love to be with family, friends, my horses and my two french bulldogs, so stop by here often, there will always be something new to look at. Tammy
